Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation donates £650 to Canine Partners

A team from Canine Partners recently paid a visit to the Leeds Building Society Southampton Branch to accept the cheque, which will cover the cost of two Puppy Parent packs for the Southampton Satellite.  These are given to the volunteers who help to look after the puppies during their training and consist of collars, leads, puppy crates, toys etc - all the equipment needed for the first 12 months of training.  
 
Andy Rason, Southampton Branch Manager said, “It was a great opportunity to have Judith Warner from Canine Partners visit us in Southampton.  It gave us a chance to really find out what the money donated by the Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation goes towards.”
 
Isabel Campbell, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Canine Partners said, “We were delighted to accept the £650 donation from Leeds Building Society, which is most welcome for our Southampton Satellite. We are heavily dependent on donations such as this, because we are a small, independent charity with no government funding.”
 
“It costs £10,000 to fully train a Canine Partner and we can only continue to do this through the generosity of our volunteers, fundraisers and donors. Having the funding for two more Puppy Parent packs means we can take on additional Puppy Parents in the area to help us train more dogs to assist people with disabilities - we are grateful to the Leeds Building Society Charitable Foundation.”
