Canine Partners Appoints Head of PR

Reading based Jenny spent the last eight years as Head of PR with Hearing Dogs in Bucks, playing a significant part in helping them flourish from a little-known charity to one of the largest assistance dog charities in the UK.  With 22 years of experience in mainstream television, Jenny is ideally placed to increase awareness of the fantastic work of Canine Partners.

Andy Cook CEO at Canine Partners comments, “Jenny’s appointment is a reflection of the importance we place in promoting our work in changing the lives of people with disabilities.  Despite a challenging 2009, we achieved our goals of successfully placing 40 Canine Partners, completing our in-house accommodation so we can hold training courses on-site, increasing the team of trainers and much more.”

Jenny, who is a fully qualified animal healer and Reiki practitioner, comments on her role: It is humbling to see and hear just how life-enhancing a Canine Partner is.  This charity is a young, growing and enthusiastic organisation with a desire to help as many people with disabilities as possible.  As we enter our 20th anniversary year, if we can go some distance towards benefiting some of the 1.2million wheelchair users in the UK through increased funding and national recognition for Canine Partners, then I will be satisfied.”
