The Gold Challenge

The Gold Challenge
Throughout 2011 & 2012
Olympic and Paralympic sports

Great Corporate Challenge!

There is a new and unique chance for everyone to test their skills individually or in a team, taking part in 5, 10,20 or 30 Olympic or Paralympic sports during the next year as the buzz around 2012 reaches fever pitch. Why not get some friends or colleagues to book a place as a team and raise money for Canine Partners while having a fun and challenging multi-sporting experience.

The British Olympic Association Tedder Bear Hunters did just that: they have started their sporting challenge with a trampolining event and also took part in a Six Nations contest at work.
They were so impressed  meeting Wendy and canine partner (Teddy) Edward, the BOA have him as their mascot! To support the BOA visit www.justgiving.com/tedder-bear-hunters.

The Gold Challenge is for everyone irrespective of age, ability or location nationwide as there are thousands of participating sports centres and events set up to fulfil your choice of sporting disciplines for FREE or at reduced rates.

Thousands of participating sports centres and events throughout the UK, all on seperate sports pages at: http://goldchallenge.org

If you're not one of those sporty types, that's ok! The Gold Challenge is designed for you to take any of the sports at any pace. If you are looking to ease your way back into sport then you could try:

  • Archery

  • Canoe and kayak
  • Equestrian
  • Swimming
  • Table tennis
  • Tennis

Perhaps you have entered as a team or are looking for the Gold Challenge to give you opportunities to meet new people. Why not consider these sports as they are generally geared towards team work and drum up a bit of competition with your peers!

  • Badminton

  • Basketball
  • Football
  • Handball
  • Hockey
  • Tennis
  • Water polo

All we ask is that you get sponsored for your challenges and raise a minimum £100 per person per discipline. E.g. an individual would try to raise £1,000 for 10 disciplines but a team of 5 people would raise £5,000 together for 10 disciplines.

INTERESTED? Then join the Canine Partners team and make a difference.
