A team of eleven Canine Partners representatives attended on the day including Barry O’Connell and canine partner Guy from Clacton and Stephanie and canine partner Elmo from Southend. The team was also joined by volunteer puppy parents from the area, the local puppy trainer and other volunteers.

48 Santa run for fun in Gloucester

Forty-eight runners dressed in Santa suits took part in a charity fun run at Bathurst Estate in Cirencester on Saturday 3 December. The event, courtesy of Dowager Lady Bathurst, was to raise funds for Canine Partners - a charity that provides highly trained assistance dogs to people with disabilities.

David Filmer (41) from Fareham recently took on the Great South Run to raise funds for Canine Partners. David completed the 10 mile event in 1h 42m and 24s, raising £300 for Canine Partners.

Team Collett Complete Great South Run

The Collett family from Hermitage has recently completed the Great South Run raising £1200 for national charity Canine Partners. Matthew Collett (37) joined 24,000 other runners to tackle the 10-mile road race on Sunday 30 October finishing in 1 hour 31 minutes. He was joined by work colleagues Alex West, John Prior and Seb Banks from Tek Systems in Bracknell – making up Team Collett.

Rhiannon Sheppard (30) from Chelmsford, Essex has become the first local to volunteer as a puppy parent for Canine Partners, a charity that provides highly trained assistance dogs to people with disabilities. She welcomed yellow Labrador Zane to the town earlier this year and is helping look after him during his training to become a fully-fledged canine partner.

Purple Run is a Runaway Success

Thirty six runners took on the 5km challenge, around the stunning grounds of Petworth Park. All participants were dressed in purple, and raised in excess of £3500, a fantastic amount.

Canine Partners Driven Clay Shoot Raises £22,000

Canine Partners 7th Annual Driven Clay Challenge, hosted once again by the Earl of Clarendon at his Holywell Estate in Swanmore, Hampshire. This event is a regular in the clay shooting calendar, with teams returning every year to enjoy a wonderful day’s shooting knowing they are raising funds to help disabled people.

Michelle completed the gruelling run in the fantastic time of 1 hour and 5 minutes. She has already raised £400, but hopes people will support her further as a result of completing this event and other fundraising events she is involved in.

A team of five runners from West Sussex took on an unusual fundraising challenge, The Monopoly Run, on Saturday 25 June. The group ran the 45-mile London Monopoly board route non-stop, in the exact order as appears in the game.

Caine Partners Summer Fair a great success

Canine Partners held a family day out on Saturday 9 July at their training centre in Heyshott, near Midhurst and more than 750 local people attended. This was the first time the event had been held at the weekend, and the weather was kind with no rain and frequent warm sunny spells, which encouraged the visitors to partake of either an ice cream or a Pimms!
