Celebrate Canine Partners arrival in Paisley!

The West of Scotland puppy training satellite for national charity Canine Partners is holding an information session on Wednesday 2 November 3.30-5pm to celebrate its move from Ayr to Paisley.  This event will be marked with the first weekly puppy training class at Martyrs Church, Paisley as well as a cheque presentation from MCM1 Faslane, the result of their recent Loch Lomond challenge.

Canine Partners has had a base in the West of Scotland for 4 years and this exciting move to Paisley opens up more possibilities to continue to train more dogs to change the lives of people with disabilities in Scotland.

The event will be even more of a celebration, thanks to MCM1 Faslane who raised a fantastic sum of money by completing a Loch Lomond swim.  A team braved icy waters to carry out a 22-mile swim on Thursday 1 September and will be presenting a cheque for over £5000.  This figure, added to other money the group have already raised means they can sponsor puppy Xylo through his training to become a fully-fledged canine partner.

Bryony White will be heading up the puppy training satellite in Paisley and comments, “We really want the local community to join us on 2 November and find out about the amazing work of Canine Partners and how they too can be a part of it.  Paisley is an ideal location for us to spread the word about Canine Partners through the West of Scotland and we need your help!  I am delighted we will be joined by the team from Faslane who have fundraised for us tirelessly, successfully exceeding their goal of £10,000 to sponsor a puppy through its training.”

Canine Partners is always looking for volunteers and fundraisers from the local community.  The team is particularly keen to hear from people interested in becoming a puppy parent and offering a puppy a loving home environment whilst in training.   If you would like to attend the information session or need further information, please contact Bryony White on 07826 695201
