Ledbury lady to take part in local Santa Fun Run
Participants will don a Santa suit and complete the 5k fun run through the grounds of the Bathurst Estate and Cirencester Park. Upon completion they will be rewarded with mince pies and mulled wine, in true Christmas spirit. Children aged eight and over are welcome to enter.
Emma (34) saw an advertisement for the Santa Fun Run in Zest magazine and chose to enter. “I am a dog lover and until recently worked in a library, so frequently came across assistance dogs and was always impressed with their discipline and temperament. I think Canine Partners does some great work in enabling these dogs to give people some of their independence back, as well as being great companions. Given my own desire to participate in something as part of my winter fitness schedule, and a deep respect for the work of Canine Partners, I felt that this run was a perfect opportunity. Plus, it's a good excuse to get festive!”
The cost to enter the Santa Fun Run is £12 per adult and £8 per child, which includes Santa suit, drink and a mince pie. Entrants are asked to raise as much sponsorship as possible.
