You Are Here : Local Pair Invent Monopoly Run to Raise Funds for Canine Partners

A duo from Horsham have devised a unique way to raise funds for national charity Canine Partners and Alzheimer’s Society. Dominic Godfrey and Tim Casey will be running the 45-mile London Monopoly route – a challenge they believe has never been tackled before.
After deciding to give themselves a challenge, Dom from Warnham and Tim from Horsham couldn’t find any mention of anyone running the London edition of the Monopoly board in order, non-stop – thus the Monopoly Run was invented. A select team of up to ten runners will join the pair, as they pound the streets of London, starting at Old Kent Road and finishing at Mayfair. To add a bit of character to the run, they will also be running in team vests designed around the Monopoly man and sporting top hats and moustaches.
Dom will be raising funds for Canine Partners, a charity to which his grandparents, who used to be volunteer puppy parents, introduced him.
“Thanks to my grandparents, I’ve been able to see for myself the fantastic work these dogs do for people with disabilities, both from a physical and mental perspective. With the cost of fully training and supporting a canine partner reaching £20,000, I would like to do all I can to raise some money for Canine Partners.”
