Well-Being day announced in aid of Canine Partners

The Essex puppy training satellite for national charity Canine Partners, who provides specially trained assistance dogs to people with disabilities, is today announcing a free of charge Well-Being day to be held on Saturday 2nd July 2011 from 1pm-4pm on its behalf.

The event will take place at Moulsham Mill, Chelmsford with well-being therapy taster sessions being available.   Visitors will be able to find out about the work of Canine Partners and meet some of the puppies in training.  There is also the opportunity to chat to therapists and members of the BackCare and Dyslexia rooms as well as take part in taster sessions (£5 each) including Alexander Technique, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Reiki and Pilates.

Essex Community Fundraiser Lindsay Hurrell comments, “We are very grateful to the Wellbeing Team for kindly holding this event in aid of Canine Partners, which is all about promoting natural well-being.  It is a great way of sampling the various therapies that are available to people, so why not come along and find out for yourself. The work we do at Canine Partners focuses on changing the lives of people with disabilities, many of whom benefit from these alternative therapies.”

Entry is free, including parking and refreshments at Moulsham Mill, Parkway, Chelmsford, CM2 7PX.  Canine Partners is always looking for volunteers, fundraisers and puppy parents from the local community. If you would like to find out more, please contact Lindsay Hurrell on 01245-608355.
