Fundraising Summary for 2009
In 2009 we received £1,506,969 (2008: £1,897,708) in gifts through the generosity of our community, companies, charitable trusts and the hard work of our support groups. Of this amount £122,209 was raised through our ‘Home From Home’ Capital Appeal for our new building development, leaving £1,359,485 as general funds and £25,275 restricted in accordance with the donor’s wishes.
A further £155,199 (2008: £113,490) was raised through activities for generating funds including fundraising events and sale of charitable merchandise. I
nterest on deposited funds brought in £3791. (2008: £21,229).
Fundraising expenditure
The costs of raising voluntary income amounted to £309,639 (2008: £314,484), the costs of activities for generating funds were £71,660 (2008: £51,768).
Where your pound donation has gone!
Every pound given for the new accommodation has wholly gone to the building fund.
A pound given to fund the working of the Charity has been spent or reserved this year as illustrated on the coin chart:
